Monica Perez

Master Yoga Teacher Yoga Therapist

Hello, I’m Monica Perez, a Honduran native who has called Switzerland home since 2017. My journey with yoga began in 2019, and it wasn’t long before I knew I wanted to dive deeper. I pursued my passion, completing my IYT Yoga Master Teacher certification in 2021. Furthering my education, I studied yoga therapy from September 2022 to March 2025, earning my IAYT certification. Throughout these years, I’ve immersed myself in the world of yoga, and it’s become a profound part of my life.

Through yoga, I’ve discovered invaluable tools and techniques that empower me to navigate life’s challenges with greater ease and efficiency. The values we cultivate on the mat – adaptability, growth, flexibility, and comfort in discomfort – seamlessly translate into our daily lives. By learning to stay silent, take a pause before responding, and embracing the present moment, I’m able to approach life’s complexities with greater clarity, compassion, and wisdom. Yoga has taught me to walk this journey slowly, without rushing, with a heart overflowing with love and generosity, and hands ever-ready to serve and uplift.

As a yoga teacher, my intention is to guide and support you on your journey, helping you discover your true essence and navigate life’s challenges with greater ease and awareness. I’m here to motivate and empower you, offering a supportive presence every step of the way.

What is Yoga

Yoga means “unity” or “oneness” and derives from the Sanskrit word yuj, which means “to join”. This unity refers to the union of the body, mind and spirit. Gurus would describe Yoga as the science of right living, and as so is intended to be incorporated in daily life.
